The arrival of the G8 and G20 summits in Ontario, Canada, in June 2010 sparked the roll-out of a CORP25 radio network to help the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) provide security for the delegates.
The network was implemented along a 360km-wide corridors in Toronto to cover both summits. Upon a successful implementation and gaining system acceptance, a second network was created to extend network coverage throughout Ontario.
