Exacom and ALL-COMM Technologies hosted their second New England Public Safety Showcase (NEPSS) at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Woburn, MA, on Thursday, October 20th. This free invitation-only event ran from 10 am to 2 pm.
Police, fire, dispatch, and combined emergency communications centers throughout New England attended to learn about the recent big changes in mission-critical communications, automated emergency response, internet redundancy, cybersecurity at ECCs, and other technology challenges and trends. Stephen James Johnson, Assistant Director of Administration and Training of the Cambridge MA Emergency Communications Department, presented the keynote session on reducing burnout for public safety agencies.
Attendees experienced a live demonstration of an operating mobile communications center and met with vendors. The NEPSS event wrapped up with raffle giveaways.
