Exacom Partners with Arapahoe County 911 Authority for Seamless Implementation of Advanced Recording System
In 2022, the Arapahoe County 911 Authority launched a Request for Proposal (RFP) process to replace its outdated and unreliable audio recording system. Understanding that a successful partnership goes beyond just choosing the right technology, the Authority sought a vendor that could provide both cutting-edge solutions and exceptional support. After a competitive evaluation, Exacom was selected from six vendors for its proven reliability and expertise in mission-critical recording solutions.
Exacom worked closely with the Arapahoe County 911 Authority to develop an implementation plan that addressed the needs of five law enforcement dispatch agencies and one fire dispatch agency. From the start, our team was committed to ensuring a smooth deployment of the new system, designed to record both telephone and radio audio seamlessly.
Throughout the project, Exacom demonstrated flexibility and responsiveness, adapting to a series of changes in the implementation schedule. Despite these adjustments—including a last-minute request to accelerate the timeline by three months—Exacom remained focused on delivering a successful, on-time installation. Our collaborative approach and willingness to support the Authority through each phase reinforced our commitment to excellence.
Exacom’s involvement didn’t stop at installation. When a challenge arose with one of the Authority’s Motorola P25 radio streams, Exacom quickly dispatched a technician to assist with testing, working in tandem with Motorola to resolve the issue. Our dedicated support technician has been an ongoing resource for the Arapahoe team, providing hands-on training and assistance throughout the transition. Exacom’s personal approach to support ensured that all agency personnel had direct access to expertise, making the learning curve with the new system much smoother.
